Heute war ich wieder als Kreativexpertin im ARD-Buffet zu Gast. Zum Sendungsthema „Konservendosen“ habe ich mir eine sommerliche Upcycling-Idee überlegt, die man einfach aus leeren Dosen machen kann:
Sommerliche Windlichter mit Löcher-Schriftzug – eine hübsche und nachhaltige DIY Deko. Ich kann mir die Windlichter richtig gut als Deko auf dem sommerlich dekorierten Balkon oder im Garten vorstellen.

Anleitung: Dosen-Laternen aus Konservendosen basteln
Material:
- leere Konservendose
- Handbohrer, z.B. Dremel
- Malertape
- Marker zum Markieren der Löcher
- Schutzbrille
- Handschuhe
- Farbspray in 2 Farben
- Teelicht

Anleitung:
Schritt 1: Dose reinigen
Entferne alle Etiketten und Rückstände von der Konservendose. Wasche sie gründlich mit Wasser und Spülmittel ab und lasse sie vollständig trocknen.
Schritt 2: Klebeband anbringen + Motiv übertragen
Bringe auf der Dose Malertape dort an, wo gebohrt werden soll. Das sorgt dafür, dass der Bohrer besseren Halt findet und nicht so leicht abrutscht.
Dann kannst du das Motiv entweder freihand mit einem Marker auf das Klebeband malen oder die Vorlage mit Klebeband auf der Dose befestigen.
Schritt 3: Löcher bohren
Bohre nun vorsichtig mit dem Handbohrer die Löcher in einem gleichmäßigen Abstand entlang des vorgezeichneten Musters.
Tipp: Es geht einfacher, wenn du die Löcher mit geringer Bohrgeschwindigkeit vorsichtig vorbohrst und dann mit schnellerer Geschwindigkeit bohrst.
Schritt 4: Dose von innen und außen besprühen
Reinige nun die Dose vom entstandenen Metallstaub und trockne sie gut ab. Nun kannst du die Dose zuerst von innen bemalen, dann von außen. Besonders sommerlich sieht eine Kombination aus Neon- und Pastellfarben aus.
Sobald die Farbe getrocknet ist, ist das Windlicht einsatzbereit.
Du kannst das Windlicht dann noch nach Lust und Laune dekorieren – zum Beispiel mit buntem Garn oder mit Quasten.
