Im ARD-Buffet war das Thema heute „Wohnen & Deko“ und ich durfte mir eine passende Idee überlegen. Ich bin ein sehr großer Fan von Karo-Muster und (Uni-)Fliesen und da dachte ich mir, mach ich doch aus Mosaikfliesen eine schicke Vase.
Als Basis dient ganz einfach eine rechteckige Dose und die Fliesen werden easypeasy aufgeklebt und dann verfugt. Als besonderes Highlight wird die Fugenmasse in Pink eingefärbt.

Material:
- Mosaik-Keramikfliesen
- eckige Dose
- Fugenmasse in Weiß (hier verwendet: Mosaik-Fugenmasse)
- Pigment in einer optionalen Farbe
- Heißkleber
- Mischbehälter
- Schwamm
- Spachtel
- Schere
- Gummihandschuhe
Schritt 1: Fliesen zuschneiden und aufkleben
Im ersten Schritt werden die Mosaikfliesen passend zur verwendeten Dose zugeschnitten. Insgesamt werden vier Teile zugeschnitten, für jede Seite der Dose ein Teil.
Die Fliesen werden mit Heißkleber auf die Dose geklebt. Es ist nicht nötig, den Untergrund mit Zement o.ä. zu grundieren, da die Fliesen ja nur auf der Vase halten müssen – die steht ja sowieso nur rum. 🙂
Schritt 2: Fugenmasse anrühren
Nun wird die Fugenmasse gemäß Herstelleranweisung angerührt. Dabei wird Farbpigment hinzu gegeben und so lange gerührt, bis eine gleichmäßige Masse entsteht.
Die Menge des Farbpigments wählst du, je nachdem, wie kräftig die Farbe werden soll. Je weniger Pigment, desto zarter wird die Farbe.
Schritt 3: Fugenmasse auftragen
Die farbige Fugenmasse wird dann auf die Dose aufgetragen: Dabei darauf achten, dass die Fugenmasse gut in jede Fuge der Fliesen gelangt und dass an den Ecken glatte Übergänge entstehen.
Schritt 4: Überschüssige Fugenmasse abwischen
Nach etwa 10 Minuten kann mit einem Schwamm die überschüssige Fugenmasse mit einem nassen Schwamm entfernt werden. Optional kann nun noch einmal mit der übrigen Fugenmasse nachgearbeitet werden, um Löcher zu schließen oder Kanten zu glätten.
Jetzt muss die Vase nur noch trocknen – fertig ist das selbstgemachte Designerstück.
